The Brief
Shaw and Underwood are a long standing (having been in business for over 50 years), well respected company in the field of advertising and public relations. Their Macintosh and PC computer systems were showing signs of age. The company needed to update and to utilise a central storage server. Anova was the only firm that suggested a cost effective solution as an option, rather than immediately looking to install a full Microsoft enterprise server

The solution
As it transpired after an initial survey replacement of the Windows 95/98 systems was clearly the best option and Anova was briefed to install seven new Fujitsu Siemens Windows XP Pro computers, a Workgroupmail Server, an ADSL line (to replace the existing ISDN), the central storage with back up and to manage the transition to the new set up and the integration with the Mac systems

The outcome
Anova worked long hours to ensure little downtime, installation of the new system took just three days. Features of the system particularly appreciated by Shaw and Underwood are the stability, speed and ease of administration

Ongoing
Shaw and Underwood have just renewed their Anova on-site service / support agreement, had their Macintosh systems upgraded and tackled some frustrating Spyware issues
