Creative Suite is at the heart of proffessional media creation. For educational establishments there are a range of options:
CS6 K12 Primary and Secondary School Site Licence
The School Site Licence is designed for meeting
specific teaching needs throughout a school, and is an easy way to roll
out a Creative Suite across multiple platforms (licences can be a
mixture of both Mac and PC). You can purchase either 250 or 500
installations at a single address, and you’ll get the biggest savings by
buying through a CLP programme (see below). A 500 user licence of
Master Collection, for example, works out at £21.32 per user.
TLP (Transactional Licensing Program)
TLP is an easy way to save money and get the
benefits of volume licensing with one simple transaction (and without
committing to a fixed-term agreement). With TLP, there’s no minimum
order size and no membership agreement.
CLP (Cumulative Licensing Program)
CLP lets you earn significant savings over a
two-year membership period. The more licences you purchase during your
agreement, the more points you accumulate and the higher the savings.
With CLP, the minimum purchase is 5000 points, which is equivalent to 11
copies of Design Standard and 5 copies of Master Collection.
The EEA (Enterprise Education Agreement)
Recently announced by Adobe and promoted as the
scheme for anyone looking for a smooth transition from Creative Suite to
Creative Cloud, the EEA is a one or two year agreement that allows you
to access Adobe apps as if you were part of Creative Cloud, but without
the attendant data protection issues. Rather than accessing all the apps
at once and getting constant updates, you buy a Design & Web Bundle
that contains everything your students will need for print, digital and
web work, then buy access to additional apps on an as-needed basis.
Adobe will then provide all the updates and bug fixes you need every six
months, so students can keep up with professional Creative Cloud users.
At the end of each agreement, you'll be able to add and remove new
bundles and applications as you need, and can manage all your licences
through a central online portal, so everything's easy to keep track of.
Like other large-scale education licensing programmes, the cost of your
EEA agreement is calculated based on your FTE, or Full Time Equivalent
staff count. This is calculated using the following 'simple' formula:
No. Full time faculty + (Part time faculty÷3) + full time staff + (part time staff÷2) = your FTE count.
Adobe Student and Teacher Editions
These are boxed copies of Adobe software, including
all the Creative Suites as well as core software such as Photoshop
Elements and Premiere Elements. With savings up to 80% off commercial
pricing, all staff and students have to do is provide Adobe with
evidence of eligibility within 30 days of purchasing.
Adobe Student and Teacher Licensing Programme for higher education
As the name suggests, this is just for higher
education institutions. It gives your staff and students the chance to
purchase Adobe Creative Suite licences at a discount. The licences must
be purchased through your university’s active CLP Program.
