Upgrade or buy new?

The typical computer upgrade package would probably include the latest operating system, a larger hard drive, additional memory and a DVD burner. Total cost approx £500. Around the same price you would pay for a brand new Pentium 4 configured with the current OS and complete with Office application suites. The same can be said of low to mid level Mac users. OK high end Mac users will see a difference to this example, but not by much.

When you then look at maintenance issues the case for upgrading becomes weaker. New Macs and PCs will certainly include a 12 - 36 month warranty - in contrast, upgraded machines wonít and they are more likely to require service.

Migration of data has always been a big concern to people considering whether to upgrade or buy new. Anova can supply experienced installers and/or relatively inexpensive tools which make this a simple task - taking away the inconvenience of transferring data and re-installing software applications and drivers.
